HISTORY OF 1st Boksburg Scouts/Cubs

History of 1^st Boksburg (Cameron)

As 1^st Boksburg were the first group in Boksburg and for many

years the only group, they were obviously pioneers

in many things that they did.

Below is a list of "FIRST'S" but there are obviously many that went unrecorded.

First Scout Group - founded 1910

First Cub Pack - 18^th August 1924

First Parents Committee - 1914

First Building Fund Committee - 1938

(Hall was dedicated April 2000)

OUR SCARF

 Our scarf's base colour is BLACK with a LIGHT BLUE BAND and it is divided

with a GOLD CORD, with the CAMERON TARTAN in the bottom corner.

The CAMERON TARTAN was added on to the scarf in memory

of MR CAMERON after he dead returning from a Scouting outing.

The Gold cord was added after 1^st Boksburg and 7^th Boksburg merged and the Gold

was add on to the scarf.
