1st Boksburg (Cameron) Scout Group are hosting a Campfire get-together on Thursday, 30 July 2009 at our Den.Parents are invited to join us for a cup of soup while we sit around the fire and enjoy an event-filled programme presented by the Cubs and Scouts.
What is a Campfire Blanket?
It is usually worn to a campfire and is decorated with badges and scarves you have obtained during your Scouting activities.It is a practical and fun way of displaying your badges.
Campfire Blankets should be warm but need not be expensive.They may be cut as ponchos, capes or cloaks and may be fastened or hooded.The layout of your scarves and badges on your blanket is totally up to you.Remember, wool blankets do not easily burn, and are safer around fires.
